Here is my listing of television series, ongoing and discontinued (you can download anything nowadays) that fit into the cyber/post-apocolyptic/futuristic ideals that I enjoy. If you want more info about these television shows, ask the internet movie database.
I rate material on a scale of 1 - 5 robots, represented by these guys:

A genetically enhanced hottie escapes from the government vacility that created her. The world is the near future and she strives to help all the creations escape the company as she did and aids freedom fighter types. Very cool fight stuff, mutant people and cute boys. It's my guilty obsession.
Earth 2 ---------------- ![]()

A group of explorers leave Earth for a new environment to help one of the crew's children survive in a new atmosphere. I loved this show. It was a very good example of evil Tim Curry acting. Another great find if you can get it.

We found this show while in Costa Rica, Drew downloaded the entire series and it's been since discontinued. It was futuristic in the far after the Earth's resources have been used up, and post-apocalyptic in the Star Trek meets cowboys and pioneers way. Interesting dialogue and snarky insults. None of the female cast are anything less than intelligent. I have laughed outloud at all of the episodes. It's a nice spin on the 'after earth' brand of apocalypse AND there is no sound in space! Best television series I've seen in a long time, by the director of Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. I've been told there's a movie coming out...
Futurama ---------------- ![]()

Fry, a pizza delivery boy, accidentally gets himself cryogenically frozen and awakes in the future. I love this cartoon, it is truly a treat even though it's not as serious as most of the other selections in the genre. One of the cartoons that you can watch over and over again.
Ghost in the Shell - Standalone Complex ---------------- ![]()

There are currently six episodes out right now, and more will trickle in as fan subs online until they make this series available to rent or buy in North America. Same premise and characters as the movie pretty much, but with stunning visuals and an ongoing plot line across the series. The opening theme song is gorgeous and sets the mood for the show beautifully. If you've bothered to read anything on my site - you should watch these.
Serial Experiments Lain ---------------- ![]()

A young girl's descent into the "wired" proves to be more indepth than she thought it would be. Incredible art, very interesting web interaction plot and superb character. Spooky and cool. I went out and bought all the DVDs - this series requires paying close attention.
The Last Train - aka Cruel Earth ---------------- ![]()

A bunch of people are put into suspended animation while taking the train home and waken into a post-apocolyptic world 14 years later. This was one of the first shows I had seen in this genre and it inspired a couple of hair cuts. Very good series to get your hands on if you can.
